Demon Lord Colosseum v0.0.2_0
All righty, version 0.0.2_0 is out for anyone to test it out. So what I've currently done, let us see. I Implemented the turn and simplified a little the combat code. Added the versus mode and a character with three variants. Added the Frozen debuff which skips your turn 50% of the time with no cap. I made it so that Elemental Effects remove previous elemental effects. I also made it so that Fire characters heal from fire and Ice characters can't be Frozen. I was going to release it a week or so ago a few days after I released the update for KotW but then I was like, Let's add the Switch mechanic.
My god, the switch mechanic. It wasn't hard to implement it, but it was far from easy. Just to mention, I'm not good at coding so all the things that work in this game is done with UE's blueprint system. The blueprint responsible for actions and turns looks like a tangled fishing net and surprisingly with how it looks, It works. There may be bugs that I overlooked but it generally works. It was like; switch out the character, connect the animation, connect the stats, it's still using the previous characters name, the attacks aren't set up, the animation is looping now. It was awful. That's behind me now. I only have one more problem which is: scaling the project.
The next thing I will add will be the Fairy character and implementing the "Green" Element. That will be v0.0.2_1 and I won't be adding or fixing anything else until v0.0.3. The UI will probably be one of the things I will add and fix.
now that I looked back, It's been a while since I released the first version. It was summer, a lot of good games came out. No wonder it felt not that long ago...
